Style
The
first step in selecting a board is finding one that matches your
style — ‘style’ including both visual preference and riding
preference. Style relates to the amount of flex in the board. If you
want to do tricks, you need a more flexible board so your style is
"Park". If you're a speed demon, you want a stiffer board
and your style is "Freeride". If you want to do everything
with one board or you're a beginner select "All Mountain"
which is somehwere in between.
Length
One
of the key things to remember is that board length is based on your
body weight first and foremost.
Your
height is the second factor that will play into what size of
snowboard you should ride. If you want a quick rule of thumb, then
with one end is rested on the ground the other end will be about
level with your chin.
